The young people of the Ndlovu Youth Choir have been in Los Angeles for several weeks. Their participation in the American Supershow enabled the young singers to make their first trip of their lives to America. And because they have been so successful, and after reaching the quarter and semi-finals, they will now go through to the final next Wednesday. A sensational success that nobody had expected. The choir will remain on site. There they will rehearse their final performance.
But there is also plenty of social life on the side. The young people visit the Californian beach, the Mojave Desert and pose in front of the legendary HOLLYWOOD sign. A completely different world for the young South Africans.
But school must not be neglected either. That is why the Ndlovu Care Group has sent a teacher along with psychological support for the children and young people. This teacher ensures that no one loses touch with the school curriculum.
We recently received a picture from the hotel room. Here the choir members are sitting together and rehearsing the new performance. They promise that this performance will be something completely different from any show before.
We can look forward to it! The final is on September 17.
