“We must ensure that education reaches everyone.” Nelson Mandela

On Nelson Mandela’s birthday today, we remember this great man who motivated, moved and inspired people far beyond his time.

He dedicated his life to the fight for peace. A never-ending struggle, as is particularly evident in these times. For his fight against apartheid in the name of justice, Nelson Mandela spent a large part of his life in prison before he was elected South Africa’s first colored president.

One of his most important concerns was the education of the black African population. He considered education to be the most important weapon in the fight for a better world.

We are committed to this and would like to thank our partners ENERGETIX and Deutsche Postcode Lotterie as well as Bild hilft e.V. “Ein Herz für Kinder” and Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern e.V. for their incredible support. From early childhood development in preschools to training in the new vocational school, the Hugo Tempelman Foundation is able to actively support the work of the Ndlovu Care Group in rural South Africa thanks to this help.
