We have recently received a number of donations for the water borehole project via our “Current donation projects” page. We would like to thank you very much for this. We will show you what happens with your money and what it means for the population to be provided with drinking water.
Already more than 50 freely accessible boreholes thanks to your donations
The Ndlovu Water Project has already drilled more than 50 boreholes in the province of Limpopo in South Africa. The resulting wells can be used by the population free of charge and at any time. All financed by your donations!
Water is the best gift
For people in rural areas of South Africa, water is the best gift they can imagine. Children walk with wheelbarrows to collect water from wells and streams to be shared by humans and animals. Children often have to miss school because it is part of their daily chores to fetch water and they have to walk long distances to do so. Old and weak people are the most affected. It is hard for us to imagine the difficulties the elderly and women with babies and small children must face when there is no water available. As soon as the slightest bit of rain falls, buckets, tubs, plastic containers – anything that can serve as a collection container – are put out to collect the rainwater.
Give the gift of relief
Life is made considerably easier by a drinking water point that always provides fresh water.
The Ndlovu Care Group’s donations are not only used to drill the water hole. It also provides the other infrastructure – the brick well, pumps and fittings.
Drinking water means a life worth living. Please continue to donate so that the next borehole can also be financed. A borehole with a connected well and taps, including fittings, costs around 8500 euros. Only half is still missing!
