Visiting Elandsdoorn: Jorishaus rehabilitation center for the disabled

At the end of February, we visited Hugo Tempelman in Elandsdoorn to get a live impression of how things are going. We were particularly pleased with the great success of the rehabilitation program for the disabled. We saw this for ourselves at the Jorishaus. The first ever kindergarten for disabled children in the township has been opened here. These children, who are otherwise hidden from society because of their handicap, are now being accepted and supported there. We were deeply moved by how quickly a change in thinking has taken place in society – at least to some extent. The work we have done so far has really paid off.

We would once again like to expressly thank Bild hilft e.V. “Ein Herz für Kinder” and Energetix Bingen, who have generously supported us in promoting this project.
