Trip to Elandsdoorn – Day 1

On July 26, our small delegation finally arrived in South Africa after a very difficult journey.
We are pleased that our ambassador Clemens Schick writes a short travel report every day.
Here is the first message:

After a somewhat awkward journey via Zurich and Istanbul, we landed safely in Johannesburg today.

Our small team consists of: Vivi Eickelberg (chairwoman of the Hugo Tempelman Foundation), Michael Stroh (director), Wieland Scharf (producer), Arno Canzler (camera), Pablo Gollmer Hidalgo (sound/camera assistant) and myself, Clemens Schick.

We are here until the end of the week to find out as much as possible about the state of affairs at the Ndlovu Medical Center in Elandsdoorn and to record this material in order to give our supporters a clear picture of what is happening here on the ground.

I am more than excited!

We were very generously welcomed this afternoon by the wonderful choir and theater group. I am deeply moved by the grace of these young people, their dignity, attitude and zest for life and am very excited to see what awaits me here over the next few days.

Another report tomorrow.

Good night.

Clemens

We film everything diligently so that we can show a great documentary at the end.
