The admirable Esther Vergeer visited the Ndlovu Care Group again this year. The five-time Paralympic champion in wheelchair tennis not only encouraged the local people with disabilities during her visit, she also gave short training sessions on the Ndlovu sports field. By working with top sports stars, the Ndlovu Care Group offers sports enthusiasts the opportunity to build and increase self-esteem. Even though opportunities for people with disabilities in underserved communities like Elandsdoorn are few and far between, the Ndlovu Care Group aims to show through projects like these that with enthusiasm and perseverance, all difficulties and limitations can be overcome.
