Sensational performance by the Ndlovu Youth Choir at the Charity Gala of the Postcode Lottery event – A strong voice for human rights

The annual Postcode Lottery event took place last weekend, with numerous top-class artists doing the honors. George Clooney, Düzen Tekkal, Rita Süssmuth, Michael Patrick Kelly and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus took to the red carpet with 500 invited guests. The motto of the evening: “Stand up for Human Rights!”

A special highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the breathtaking performance by the Ndlovu Youth Choir, which enchanted the audience with its rousing music and impressive choreography. The local project for disadvantaged and at-risk children in a rural township in South Africa has developed into an outstanding professional ensemble thanks to the help of the Hugo Tempelman Foundation.

The choir from South Africa has enjoyed an unprecedented career in recent years and thrilled audiences in Düsseldorf with its incredible energy.

Hollywood actor and activist George Clooney was visibly impressed by the performance of the Ndlovu Youth Choir and posed for a photo with the talented young artists.

The performance of the Ndlovu Youth Choir at the Postcode Lottery event was not only a musical highlight, but also a strong signal for cultural diversity and the promotion of young talent. The Hugo Tempelman Foundation has actively supported this from the very beginning and is delighted to have had the Postcode Lottery at its side as a valuable partner for several years. Together, they are committed to social projects and supporting disadvantaged children and young people in Limpopo, South Africa.

With their performance, the talented young artists of the Ndlovu Youth Choir proved once again that music has the power to overcome borders and unite people all over the world.
