Ndlvovu Youth Choir celebrates huge success with Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You mix and is submitted for the 2019 Grammys

The choir has been working on a very special song with choirmaster Ralf Schmitt for weeks. Following a personal request, Ed Sheeran’s management approved his song “Shape of you” for the choir to rework. The result is a very personal, individual interpretation.

The song was recorded in the recording studio that the Hugo Tempelman Foundation set up in the Miracle Theater with the support of Thomann. There was also prominent support: Grammy winner Wouter Kellermann accompanied the choir on the flute. The result is more than impressive.

The video has already been viewed more than 20,000 times on youtube. 330,000 Facebook views on the choir page alone. Choir director Ralf Schmitt is overwhelmed.

And today we also received the news that the choir has also been submitted for the Grammy nomination list with this song.

Ralf is currently doing everything he can to get the choir on stage with Ed Sheeran when he goes on tour in South Africa next year. At the same time, we are also trying to get the choir to perform in Germany, as the rest of the concert program also inspires us without reservation.
