The Ndlovu Youth Choir is now a much sought-after choir and celebrates success at a wide variety of venues. They give acclaimed guest performances not only in South Africa but also in Europe. This was the case in Edinburgh in February at a People’s Postcode Lottery gala. We reported on this.
Sandile’s report clearly shows what the choir means to the young people who are involved here:
“The Ndlovu Youth Choir tour to Scotland was the most impressive thing that has ever happened in my life. I call it life changing. I learned a lot of things during the tour. We saw incredibly beautiful places and visited impressive museums. Everything was just wonderful and much more than we expected. The warmth of the people in Scotland who welcomed us was so heartwarming, especially the people from the People’s Postcode Lottery who made the trip really worth every moment. The food was great and the financial support we received each day also meant a lot to us. It allowed us to do things we always wanted to do, like go shopping or visit tourist routes.
This trip made me realize that there are people out there who give time and money to make a positive difference, to put a smile on someone’s face. With that, I would like to thank everyone who made this tour possible. This experience is a memory we will never forget.”
