Vocational school for young people
The Ndlovu Care Group runs a vocational school to continue the holistic approach after infancy and school age.
The training center for skilled trades is an important qualification program that offers school dropouts and unemployed young people a perspective to sustainably provide for their livelihood.
Youth unemployment in Limpopo is alarmingly high at 60%. To stabilize social unrest and close the inequality gap, we need to be able to offer youth an opportunity to find employment. This is crucial for the future development and progress of the country.
South Africa has a total population (2020) of 58.33 million inhabitants. The total youth unemployment rate in the 15 to 34 age group is 20.3 million, which corresponds to 33% of the total population. Of these 20.3 million unemployed young people, 7.9 million (38.9 %) are not taking part in any qualification or further training program to improve their chances of finding a job in the near future.

Securing a future
The Ndlovu Care Group’s vocational training center offers training in skilled trades.
The first 20 young people have already started their training as plumbers. Half of them are girls.
Apolonia describes her hopes as follows: “For me, training means having the chance to become someone in the future.”
