At the Ndlovu Vocational Training Center, practical training stands for real opportunities for the future. The impressive story of Ndamulelo Ricardo Makhenthula – a young man who has successfully used his training in bricklaying to build his own livelihood – shows just how effective this support is.
During his practical training, Ndamulelo took the plunge into self-employment and founded his own construction company, Orisan Solution (Pty) Ltd, based in Venda.
Today, he is already actively involved in the construction industry, expanding his knowledge on a daily basis and creating a stable professional future for himself – brick by brick.
His path shows how vocational training can open doors: With courage, craftsmanship and the right support, he not only creates a company, but also hope for an entire community.
Because with every building he constructs, Ndamulelo is also building on his vision – a future in which education and personal initiative empower people to take control of their own lives.
“I am very grateful to have been part of the program at the Ndlovu Vocational Training Centre,” says Ndamulelo. “It wasn’t always easy, but it was incredibly helpful. Everything I do today is based on what I learned there. You just have to appreciate where you come from.”
Together with its partners – the German Postcode Lottery and the RTL “Wir helfen Kindern” foundation – the Hugo Tempelman Foundation supports these programs, which give young people in rural South Africa new prospects.
Through education, practical experience and the promotion of personal initiative, success stories are created here that have an impact far beyond individual lives.
Self-confidence grows with every training course. An entire community grows with every success.
