Exciting times for the children from Jorishaus

The first rehabilitation center for disabled children is a great success and a real development for the children concerned. We have already reported a lot, but development is not standing still. Last month, the children had a lot of variety.

Conductive Educator visits

First, they were visited by volunteers from the Sizanani Care Center. The Conductive Educators from Sizanani taught the Ndlovu staff various skills to further develop the children. In particular, they taught them how to interact physically with the children, how to stretch their deformed limbs and how to encourage them to play. As a special highlight, the children were taken to the opening celebrations of the Ndlovu Research Center to take part in the festivities. Of course, the children particularly enjoyed the choir and the sumptuous buffet.

Excursion to the animal enclosure

Shortly afterwards, the children spent an exciting day at Mbidi Lodge, where there is also a small zoo. Of course, it was extremely exciting to be able to see the wild animals up close. On this scorching hot day, there was also a picnic and the children and young people from Jorishaus were able to cool off in the pool. An excursion like this would certainly not have been possible for any of the children in the past.
