Last Sunday, the traditional Gutenberg Marathon took place in Mainz. Our partner ENERGETIX Bingen once again sent the largest team into the race with 72 registrations.
Energetix Bingen has been generously supporting the work of the Hugo Tempelman Foundation for 10 years. And Team Energetix Bingen has been running for our foundation for five years.
The team consists of many committed sales partners and employees of the company. They donate €2 for every kilometer run in the half marathon.
This year, 72 participants registered and each runner donated €42. This resulted in a total of €3024. And as every year, managing owner Roland Förster rounded up the amount to €5,000, which will benefit our child development programs.

Once again this year, Joey Kelly ran as a prominent representative for Energetix and thus also for our children’s projects.
And Liesje Tempelman showed her full power again: she ran the Gutenberg Marathon with the Energetix team for the fifth time in a row. She told us that the marathon in Mainz was the first one she had ever run. She only started running marathons four years ago and was motivated and spurred on by Energetix!
This year, she was accompanied by her two sons Gijs and Koen. It was the fourth time for Gijs and the first time for Koen.
They ran the 21 km in under two hours and held hands at the finish line – something they had promised themselves at the start. What a great family success!
