The Ndlovu Care Group is preparing to protect the community during the coronavirus pandemic.
By setting up as a doctor 25 years ago, Hugo laid the foundations for a village to develop in this wasteland in the South African hinterland. Now, a dedicated team of nurses and doctors are on the front line with him in the fight against the pandemic. They are all currently being trained by Hugo Tempelman in dealing with coronavirus and infected patients.
Everything is being done to prevent infection and help individual patients as much as possible. A loud vehicle drives through the community and reminds people to social distance and stay at home.
As everywhere else, protective clothing is only available to a limited extent. Hugo gets in touch via Facebook. In his guide, he explains how everyone can protect themselves effectively with the simplest of means.
All you need is a standard transparent film, two cable ties and adhesive tape. The virus, which enters the mouth, eyes and nose via droplet infection through the mucous membranes, is kept out through direct contact. Of course, hygiene regulations must also be observed.
A simple, cheap but effective measure. Stay healthy!
