Elandsdoorn prepares for the lockdown – caring for the children

Due to the current situation, all of the Ndlovu Care Group’s children’s and youth programs have had to be temporarily closed. This not only severely restricts the children’s regular daily routine. The two important meals that the children received daily at the facilities have also been cut. Many of them are once again at risk of malnutrition. The Ndlovu Care Group is now organizing the distribution of care packages: Employees bring the much-needed food to the homes of the affected families. Currently 382 families are being provided for.

The children in the disability rehabilitation programs have been particularly hard hit. Day care has had a positive impact on all children. Many of their complaints have been alleviated, and in some cases they have even been taught skills that have led to an unexpected improvement in their quality of life. Real support took place here. Due to the temporary closure of the facilities, all children run the risk of relapsing. First and foremost, the regular provision of nutritious food is crucial here.

The help that Hugo and his employees are providing in these difficult times is vital for most of them. You can see the first pictures here. These are all children who have been admitted to the Ndlovu Care Group’s program for the disabled. Even now, they are not left alone.

Money is urgently needed so that the Ndlovu Care Group can continue to provide the children with food.

Donate if you can. Every euro really counts here!
