Hugo sends us new pictures from South Africa. It’s unbelievable what shape the seedling project has taken. An impressive vegetable garden has been created. Plants have now been distributed to 62 households for cultivation.
The aim is to provide 156 families with plants for their own gardens. Many have lost their jobs due to corona and almost no one has any savings. People are suffering more from hunger than from coronavirus. As the preschools and all of the NDLOVU CARE GROUP’s children’s and youth projects have had to close, the two hot meals that the children used to receive from Ndlovu every day are no longer available.
Many people simply have no way of feeding themselves. And this shows once again what a creative person like Hugo can achieve with simple means.
Vegetable and fruit gardens also ensure that people in this poor, rural region are fed in the long term.
