Thanks to the RTL Foundation: We help children for their generous support

The Hugo Tempelman Foundation is delighted to announce that it has once again received a generous donation from RTL Spendenmarathon as part of the “RTL Wir helfen Kindern” initiative. This significant financial support will help to realize an expansion of our vocational training facility to curb youth unemployment in South Africa.

Our main aim is to improve the situation of young people in rural South Africa, whose future prospects are severely limited due to a lack of educational opportunities. The average age of school leavers in this region is an alarmingly low 13.5 years. Without a solid foundation for a stable future, these young people face various challenges, such as increasing alcohol and drug abuse, teenage pregnancies, rape, prostitution and rising youth crime.

To help these young people in need, we have joined forces with the Ndlovu Care Group to reach them through early vocational training and offer them permanent employment opportunities. Manual skills are rare in the region, but at the same time in high demand. By expanding the building and equipping our vocational school with the necessary equipment for the electricity department, we can give these young people the opportunity to receive qualified training and then build a sustainable career.

The generous donation from RTL Wir helfen Kindern enables us to drive this important project forward and make a lasting difference to the lives of many disadvantaged young people. We are sincerely grateful to RTL and the entire “RTL Wir helfen Kindern” initiative for their support and commitment to bringing about positive change in the world.

ENERGETIX runs for the Hugo Tempelman Foundation

After a three-year break due to the coronavirus, the Gutenberg Marathon in Mainz finally took place again this year in the usual manner. A total of 46 representatives from ENERGETIX Bingen took part, supported by Joey Kelly as in the years before the break.

For every kilometer run, the company donated €2 to the Hugo Tempelman Foundation. Founder of ENERGETIX Roland Förster generously rounded up the amount. This raised a total of €3,000, which will benefit needy children and young people in South Africa.

The work of the Hugo Tempelman Foundation is of great importance for the people of South Africa, especially for disadvantaged children and young people. Energetix Bingen and the participants of the Gutenberg Marathon are actively committed to improving living conditions locally. Thank you very much for your great and long-standing support!

The Ndlovu Youth Choir is back in Berlin

Experience the incredible energy and rousing sounds of the Ndlovu Youth Choir, an outstanding professional ensemble that has become an international sensation. The choir from South Africa has had an unprecedented career in recent years and inspires people all over the world. From a recreational project for disadvantaged children in the rural township of Elandsdoorn in South Africa, this choir – supported from the outset by the Hugo Tempelman Foundation – has developed into a great success.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir was founded in 2009 as part of the child development program. Children from difficult social backgrounds and with a poor prognosis were to be given a meaningful occupation in their lives. The idea is as simple as it is effective: if you want to sing well and loudly, you have to stand up straight and raise your head. This proud posture alone helps to increase self-esteem. Choirmaster Ralf Schmitt recognized and encouraged the talent and potential of these children right from the start.

A musical experience that touches hearts

A unique blend of traditional African rhythms, modern pop music and breathtaking dance interludes are the trademarks of this ensemble. The young singers inspire with their impressive vocal power and dancing skills. An evening full of emotion and joie de vivre awaits at the Admiralspalast!

Ndlovu Youth Choir – young ambassadors of a united Africa

In South Africa, the choir has already achieved the status of a beacon of joy and hope for the entire nation. The Ndlovu Youth Choir is regarded as the “young ambassadors of a united Africa”. They have won the hearts of audiences worldwide with their participation in the American super show America’s Got Talent. Here they made it into the top ten.

The Hugo Tempelman Foundation is delighted to welcome the Ndlovu Youth Choir back to Berlin on July 4, 2023 at the Admiralspalast. Book your tickets now and experience a celebration of hope and inspiration on this evening.

ENERGETIX runs for the Hugo Tempelman Foundation

The traditional Gutenberg Marathon will take place in Mainz again next weekend. This year, representatives of Energetix Bingen will once again be at the start to support the work of the Hugo Tempelman Foundation.

The employees of Energetix Bingen have been committed to the charitable foundation for many years and actively support its work at the Gutenberg Marathon. For every kilometer run, owner Roland Förster generously donates 2 euros to the Hugo Tempelman Foundation. The money donated will benefit disadvantaged children and young people in the rural township of South Africa, especially children with disabilities.

Although Hugo and Liesje are unfortunately unable to be there in person this year, they have nevertheless expressed their support and appreciation for the commitment of the Energetix Bingen employees. Hugo sends his greetings to the runners in a short motivational video.
